Aztex Stats

Tampa Bay Rowdies (3 matches, 1 win 1 draw, 1 loss, 2 goals for, 2 goals against) 4 points - 6th in the USL Conference and 8th in USSF.

Rowdies Stats

Notes:

Both Sullivan Silva & Kieron Bernard will not make the trip to Tampa due to injuries as well as Joey Worthen due to suspension for his red card against Minnesota last week.

Leonard Griffin, Eddie Johnson & Jamie Watson lead the Aztex with 2 goals each coming into this match. Both Leonard Griffin & Jamie Watson lead the teams with 4 points (2 goals and an assist).

Both Eddie Johnson of the Austin Aztex and Chad Burt of the Tampa Bay Rowdies are team leaders in fouls. 13 fouls in 4 matches of Johnson and 8 fouls in 3 matches for Burt.

After the Rowdies play their home opener, they will play another 3 matches on the road again after playing their 1st 3 matches away from Tampa (perhaps Miami might be an exception ;-) ). I just wish the leagues in the U.S and Canada would follow a fair and balanced schedule for their teams throughout the season.

The Rowdies-Aztex match will start at 6:30pm CST. You can follow the match at www.austinaztex.com or join us Aztex fans and Chantico's Army members at the Game Day Watching Party at Cuatros. We hope to see you there as the Aztex will seek their 3rd road victory of the season and spoiling Tampa Bay's home opener.

I think the Rowdies are happy to have opening road trips. It means teams have to come play in the Florida heat all through July and August and the playoff run consists of 6 of the last 8 games and 11 of the last 17 at home.

You guys have a great squad. Good luck on games not against us.
